New Album
Jake and the band will be back in the studio in August to record a Burns album featuring the poet's satirical and political works; The album will be self produced and will feature Dick Gaughan. This album is being recorded due to the great response after BBC Scotland's live show featuring the band back in January.
Album of the Week
Jake's debut album is BBC Radio Scotland's Album of the Week this week (w/c 6th December 2010).
Burns Night
On 25th January 2011 Jake, along with Dick Gaughan, have been confirmed to play live sessions as part of the Burns Night programme which this next year celebrate the past 250 years of Burns.

Jake Cogan's Honest Mirror EP is now available to buy from the shop page.
BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Scotland plays
Much to our surprise, BBC radio 2's Mike Harding chose to play the only traditional track the band recorded on their debut album Jake Cogan and The Liberty Roses deeming their version of Rain and Snow 'One of the Greats' and the album as a whole 'Great stuff!'.
Meanwhile Radio Scotland's Iain Anderson and Archie Fisher have both chosen different tracks Tonight and Road Less Travelled respectively - all this two months prior to the official release.
Scotland's most passionate troubadour Dick Gaughan gives his seal of approval, lending kind words...
On rare occasions you realise that what you're listening is what a real singer should be, someone with a direct
connection between soul and voice. Jake Cogan is one of those rare few.
- Dick Gaughan
